Question of the Week

What are your three favorite websites?

Question of the Week: Excuse me, please….

How do you teach your children to not interrupt and wait their turn to talk??  They have so much they want to say- how do I teach them when it is ok to speak and when they need to be quiet and listen first??  I know there is a better way than my current raising my voice saying, “EVERYONE PLEASE BE QUIET!  PLEASE STOP INTERRUPTING ME!”

Thank you to AMY for submitting this question!  And thanks to those of you who leave a post/reply below!

Wise Words from Your Mom

What one homemaking tip did you receive from your mother, grandmother (or other “older” woman) that has actually worked?

Congratulations to Kristean, for her winning post on getting ready for “back to school” (Sept 10th question).  Here’s her winning tip:
Well, many schools of thought are out there on what to do to get ready for school, like organization, a quick vacation, ect.

But my plan? My husband and I get together the evening before the big day and PRAY. We pray for peace, knowledge, inspiration, opportunities, and desire. Not only for our children but for us as well.

Question of the Week: What do you do first and why?

You have five minutes before company arrives but fifteen minutes of work left. What do you do first and why?

Question of the Week: What Makes a Good Father?

All moms have questions and all moms have some answers. We just don’t always have the answers to our questions! So we’ll ask the question and you give us your answers. For each post you will be entered in a drawing for a free book!

This week’s question:

“What makes a ‘good’ father?”  -or worded differently– “What does being a ‘good father’ mean?”
