I am Lorrie Flem, and my husband, Randy, and I are the proud parents of eight sweet children: John, Levi, Drew, Dessaly, Kiley, Haley, Luke, and James, who are from 22 to 7 years old. Randy and I have always homeschooled and are so glad we have.

In 1997, I began asking friends what their favorite homemaking magazine was. When I explained what I was looking for, the response was invariably, "That sounds wonderful! Why don't you do it?" This was not at all what I had in mind!

I just wanted to subscribe to a publication that would leave me feeling as if I had had a good chat with a friend, a visit that encouraged me to keep traveling the roads that the Lord was leading me down. I wanted to be challenged to continue striving to be the best wife, mother, homemaker, homeschooler, and friend that I could be.

Eventually the Lord opened all the doors and removed any barriers, until there was no doubt in my mind that this was His idea. We are humbled to be a small part of it, and we endeavor to make TEACH that hoped-for magazine for all of us.
